Armenia Seeks Stronger Ties with Neighbors—Premier
As stated by reports, Pashinyan made the remarks while presenting the pre-election program of the ruling Civil Contract party, emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties with Georgia, Iran, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan.
He said the party intends to continue along this path, highlighting efforts to improve regional cooperation and stability.
According to reports, Pashinyan also stressed the need to reopen key transport routes in the region, including plans linked to the TRIPP initiative (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) and the proposed Gyumri–Kars railway, which he said would support economic connectivity and peace-building.
He noted that Armenia previously pursued relations with Azerbaijan and Türkiye through third-party intermediaries, which he said had limited progress toward peace, and added that Yerevan has now shifted its approach.
As stated by reports, he also expressed support for the regional “3+3” cooperation platform and said Armenia is ready to take an active role in it going forward.
